So I promised to keep you all posted on my whereabouts/goings on/adventures throughtout my travels so here we are, my first blog entry...feel free to stop reading at any point (not that you need telling) as I always find these things boring/way too long and waffly.
So, stop 1 of our travel Rio de Janerio...
It´s is a mental city, the stories you hear aren´t exaggerated or dramatised, this place really is crazy, the people are lovely and the partying is constant :-).
We spent our first day on Copacabana beach (it was 30 degrees by 10am) and us being pastey white British girls burnt to a crisp...good job none of us are ginger haha (sorry all carrot tops out there/ginger throw backs couldn´t resist...). Anyway, lesson one learnt...don´t get cocky with the sun cream, wack it on...
Day two - probably my favourite day so far - we decide to tackle the Sugarloaf Mountains (or Pao de Acucar). There was a cable car option but we decided to climb it ourselves. This was not easy. I was expecting a nice gradual climb to the top and instead I was faced with a makeshift, man made track in which to use. The views were amazing but we were greeted at the top by a tropical storm...where were our rain coats...back at the hostel...lesson two learnt...always carry a coat...
Apparently I have to go now, will continue this later...lesson three learnt...never keep Zoe and Lyds waiting haha
Much love xxxx
