Day Ninety Six - October 10th, 2013
Narrabeen
We started our day with a trip to the Roads and Maritime Services to pick up some forms which we will need to fill out and have completed by the buyer (we hope!!) of our car. We came back to the campsite and headed straight for the ocean - it was a lovely hot day, and we were ready to relax. However, Elly had only just got into the water when his phone rang. We had a buyer for the bike rack! I spoke to the man and arranged a pick up at North Head in Manly for 2pm. I flagged Elliot down and let him know.
After a little bit of beach time, we packed up and headed for Manly. We eventually met up with the buyer, and handed over the rack for $150. It's frustrating to have sold it for half of what we paid for it, when it's pretty much brand new. We kept the bikes inside the car in the end, and only used for a week or so. I guess that's part and parcel of the travelling experience.
We headed back to Narrabeen and stocked up at Wooly's. The ducks at the campsite were in a friendly mood, and we gave them some bread and provided a paddling pool (a bowl) so they could escape the heat. Elly is besotted with them, and picks up the ducklings even though the mum quacks a warning each time.
We needed to cool down ourselves, so headed for the wonderful tidal pools just across the street. We swam 1000m each and revelled in the wonderful salt water pool - despite the dry mouth and stinging eyes!
Elly couldn't settle so went for a run (action man is back), and we made supper. It's going to be hot tonight, perhaps the fan will be dug out again! Loving being back in Sydney!
