Day Ninety Five - October 9th, 2013
Huskisson to Narrabeen (Sydney - yay!)
We packed up for the last drive, feeling a mixture of nostalgia and excitement - we can't wait to get back to Sydney after so long!
It was a pretty easy route up until the outskirts of Sydney, where the traffic suddenly overwhelmed us. We hadn't seen that many cars in the whole time we'd been away! It was wonderful to drive under the harbour and through the beautiful city - my favourite in the world. We had a cruise through Manly (how we wish we had our little unit to return to) and continued onto Narrabeen, the closest campsite we could find to Manly. We checked into the Big 4 for seven nights ($342!! And that's with the seventh night free! It's true what they say - Sydney is ridiculously expensive.)
The big task of the day was not to enjoy the sensational weather, but to gut the car of all our belongings into the 'extension' tent. We then spent the afternoon at the car wash scrubbing the outside and vacuuming the inside. The advert is in the process of going up on Gumtree - this is the beginning of the end :( At least we have a few weeks in paradise before we leave.
