Hastings Hastings Hastings...
We actually arrived in Dover first by ferry, after a rather eventful and rushed morning getting the train from Paris to Boulogne ville then somehow, with the help of a taxi, nice ticket office ladies and some hail marys from Liv and Soph, and we were being kindly picked up from Giorgia from the white cliffs of Dover, on our way to Hastings where she lived. She and Geoffrey were the young English couple we had met so briefly in Greece, and had invited us to stay, and it was very lovely of them to have us to stay for two nights. Ariane and Pop stayed with Geoffrey's family, in a giant mansion with 9 bedrooms (they have a student lodging program thing there, its very cool) and Liv and I stayed with Giorgia and her family, a gorgeous house with arty things and a cute cat called Monty.
Hatsings itself was pretty cool, a lovely place to just walk around in the old town, through this lovely green park, have some fish and chips, and notice the local characters who were so funny to observe. The town is by the sea so it was nice to be in that salty air once more. And the fish and chips were actually so good. We also tried mushy peas, which were a lot nicer than expected.
Giorgia showed us around town which was sweet, and her and Geoffrey took us out the second night which was fun but as it was a Wednesday night it wasn't as busy as it usually is later in the week. Ah well, we still had a lovely time here and it was great to visit the two G's J
