At approximately 7.07am on the 13th of September, I waved farewell to dear Denmark and set off on my epic train trek south. I planned to be in Prague by nightfall...and I managed to make it by 8pm which i was extremely proud of. It was weird being on my own, it had been such a homey time staying with Kisten in Farum, and suddenly I was thrust back into my own again. There was something so scary about not knowing what I was going to do that night or where I would be staying, I managed to find a cheap hostel a stone's throw away from the train station, which was so empty and like an aparment dorm, so nice. Met some aussies there ofcourse and went out for some street food and 50 cent czech beer...delectable.
Prague is an amazing city, I only wish I had been able to stay longer there. Prague Castle, the National Museum, walking the main square and the old streets and churches and oh it was all just so wonderful. And Cheap! My god it was cheap. There was something quite entising about that czech accent and way of saying things, the people were friendly on my rainy walks around the city streets and I enjoyed exploring it on my own which surprised me. Sometimes there is something comforting in having only yourself as a witness to a new, beautiful, radiant city. Definitely a place to revisit.
