So while we were in Bristol Jessie, Liv and I decided to pop over to Wales for the day. Just cos we could. Just cos we felt the urge. Just because. Oh, how I love such possibilities.
Cardiff was less than an hour away from Bristol by train, we had a very pleasant journey and promptly got some brekky/brunch/things and looked in the shoppy streets. After that became dull we decided to go to Cardiff Castle, which was extremely cool and one of the better castles I've been in on this trip. There were quite a few sections of the catsle to visit, so we took our time in there, with the amusing audio guide to keep things interesting. We got thrills from the welsh accents we heard too. Not to mention the gibberish looking language sprawled underneath every boring English sign. No offense to you dear welshies out there, you know I love your style.
While in Cardiff we found out this is the birthplace of Roald Dahl and also where Doctor Who is filmed. Cool Tricks Cool Tricks! We went to Roald Dahl Plass (which turned out to be a great big pile of nothing) but fortunately a kind old Welsh chap pointed us in the direction of the little Norwegian church which is where Mr. Dahl was christened, so that was a nice little visit. We ate cake too.
And then we found the lovespoons. My golly were they cool. I cant even explain what they are cos they are just spoons. They are wooden. And they are for love. And they are quite awesome.
So is Wales in general I reckon.
