Thursday 17th January

Obviously we have checked out and have been told that the buses are definately on! We were pleased that we were finally getting out and do something for a change, rather being stuck!

We made our way to the Greyhound terminal and waited for the coach to turn up at 10.45am. It didn't leave on time but the journey went smoothly. On our journey, we saw alot of areas which were still flooded, especially the fields. We also saw alot of bananas plants being damaged!

Finally we arrived at Airlie Beach in the early evening and boy, it was very hot and sunny. We were already sweating after 1 min, dragging our bags around, looking for our hostel! Each day, it feel as our bags are getting heavier so either we are getting unfit (which is impossible!!) or we have been buying too much stuff!

Once we arrived to the hostel, we saw the package deal that was on offer so we decided to go ahead to grab it. The package included as following:
2 days, 2 nights Whitsunday sailing,
3 days, 2 nights 4x4 self drive Fraser Island Safari
2 free nights in Hervey Bay
2 free nights in Airlie Beach.
Free internet
Free nightclub entry (which we didn't bother to use!)

We have already booked for Whitsunday Sailing for the next day. We were told that we were allowed to bring a dayrack and alcohol so we started to prepare for the sailing, hoping to fit everything in the bags!

In the evening, there was an offer of buying one pizza, get one free for inhouse guests which we took up. We were so full up that we couldn't finish off the pizza so we kept it for the next day's breakfast! hahaha! Later in the evening, Lisa just continued updating the diary on the laptop, ready for the big upload on the blog once we get the wireless internet, while Daniel had his nap.
