Sunday 23rd Sept

Had a lie in to catch up our sleep. Had a chillout morning till we decided that we need to do our laundry. Lindsay didn't have a washing machine so she offered to take us to her parents to do it there. Off we went over, met her parents. They signed to us in ASL but unfortunately it wasn't easy for us to understand so we communicated by lipreading and talking. While our clothes were being washed, we all went for a walk which felt like a desert, full of cactus.

Lindsay's Parents were friendly and welcoming. They asked if we would like to join them at Lindsay's Grandparents house for a meal as it was Lindsay's mum's birthday. We accepted it and went there, we met the whole family. They were easy to understand. The meal was lovely and very full filling. Daniel tried his first BBQ rib and enjoyed it. Then we went back to Lindsay's to do bit of researching for our next stop to Grand Canyon to book our hostel. Daniel went to bed while Lisa stayed up chatting with Lindsay till 2am! Lots of catching up to do!
