Woke up at 12 Noon to the sound of honking horns.....
The hostal room is spacious with a comfy bed and a fan to keep it cool. No mosquitoes at night as the temperature drops a lot at night.
Made some plans where im going to go in Egypt as they reception guy gave some advice and also booked a trip to Pyramids for tomorrow.
Ventured outside to find a bank and food and didnt see one female in the space of an hour..... Every street looks the same and all the shops are in arabic so you can imagine my thoughts!
Tried 2 banks and both spat my cash card out and thought this could be a very short trip here in Egypt!
Returned to youth hostal and met a canadian guy who was looking after his wife as she was very sick. Tried to phone Bank to find out what was going on with card and they said it should work.
Canadian guys wife woke up and joined us in reception. I gave her some acupressure in reception which helped her headache and thought it could be a good way to earn some eyptian pounds if i cant get any money from bank. The hostal staff were watching me do massage as they found it very entertaining....
Tried another bank and hey presto third time lucky and i managed to withdraw money!
Went to dinner with new canadian friends Gail and Tim and three of us ate loads for 8 english pounds. Had really good eyptian food and i was happy as the first food i had all day as skipped breakfast!
After dinner went to souk market and Gail bought a pair of sandals for 2.40 english pounds and found out that Tim could speak arabic which was great for bartering with the locals.
Had an early night as pyramid trip tomorrow
Went to bed early
