Well our time at San Juan del Sur has come to an end. We spent Christmas with Ben & John, a father and son combo from Tasmania-really nice guys. We went down to the local market in the morning, grabbed some food for lunch and had a nice cook up at our hostel. After some beers from lunch onwards when dinner rolled around we were all ready for a fresh burrito from in town so we ventured in. There was some dancing happening at the local church which was really cool.
Lake Ometepe! This is definitely a place you guys should google pictures of. We are staying on a island legitametley made out of two volcanoes. The lake is huge, about 276km2. We only have the one full day here so we hired a scooter and made our way around the island. Went to a really cool clear water pool as well as a nice 'beach'. But the highlights were just riding through each little village and having kids wave or a cow or pig walk in front of us:) Heading off to Granada tomorrow which apparently is a nice colonial city, one of the bigger ones in Nicaragua.
