The windiest road in history brought us to one of the most beautiful places we have seen Lake Atitlan is surround by mountains and huge Volcanoes! We stopped at a lookout on the way and it was the best view either of us had ever seen. Looked like something out of a fantasy movie! A boat ride took us to the 'fanciest' hotel in our town, San Pedro - which is one of many towns on the lake. We were pretty sure the boat was going to snap in half as it got air off little waves and slammed into the water. Our hotel is only $25 a night but is awesome. Jacuzzi, restaurant, hot shower (which is a plus in Central America) and great views of the lake.
We spent two nights on the lake and they were spent relaxing and drinking a few too many $1.25 mojitos;)
