We drove accross to Mt Ruapehu thismorning (Thursday) and had a go at skiing! Alot harder than it looked, even with an hour and a half lesson! Great fun though, and the views were amazing! Cant believe i'm out here doing all this, i'm so greatfull for having this oppertunity! We had a pass to go to the top of the ski slope too which was good fun (still a bit afrade of the ski lift though, even after skydiving!) But the wind got too strong on the way down so they had to close them so we had to walk down half of it which was easier said than done so we went down on our bum's! That evening we went out for Jen's 21st! Had a nice meal and cocktails! Then the next day it was the big drive home! We stopped of at a Kiwi sanctuary on the way back which was cool, their so much bigger than i thought and they walk so weirdly! Really cool to see one though! I've spent the last few days recovering and trying to start some work, got this week off too so gonna try to do afew day trips! Will keep you posted! Sam x
