We landed a little worse than wear, after the lock in, in Hanoi. The flight was only an hour though so wasn’t all that bad, we checked in and put our bags in the room and took a look around as daylight was quickly disappearing. It was such a nice change from Hanoi, no smog and little traffic, it was a really nice little town and the beach was beautiful, wide, white sands with lots of palm trees. We woke up the next day and went down for breakfast, it was a nice surprise from the last hotel, fresh fruit, omelets, breads and juices, not forgetting the classic rice and noodles which are everywhere. We headed to the beach hired some sun loungers and relaxed for a few days which we have not had chance to do yet.
Hoi An is famous in Asia for making tailored suites at a very good price, so we headed into the main bit of town and Marcus got one made!, Fingers crossed it will turn up in around 4 months!!. So as our time in Hoi An was ending we headed to a travel shop to book our train onto Nha Trang, however, standard in Vietnam we get ripped off and conned, so if you are heading to Vietnam and go Hoi An avoid (PHU LOC TRAVEL). We bought soft seater beds and ended up sharing with 6 local Vietnamese people including a bay in hard sleeping cabins, I was not happy to say the least!.
On the way to the station we got given the tickets where i noticed they were the wrong ones, we got the taxi to turn around and headed back to the travel shop, the guy who sold us the tickets acted dumb and told us he doesn’t even sell soft seats which is a lie, there was nothing we could do but 5 minutes of telling him he’s a con man in front of customers and the fact we have given him back reviews on trip advisor there is a slight satisfaction on the situation...DAMN YOU VIETNAM
