Starbucks on way out and took the cable car to Fishermans wharf area. I wanted to take the Downtown hop-on-off tour, but was a little early. I went for a walk whilst waiting & saw the sea-lions on Pier 39. They were so cute, but very noisy and seemed to be moody with each other. I went out walking & ended up going through the Tenderloin. Gosh, was I feeling nervous. Its streets are full of itchy, scratchy people who look very rough & I could not wait to get out of there. Managed to sort out my hotel for San Fran before I left Santa Cruz. I got totally lost on the way out cos the GPS kept sending me on the fastest route, but I wanted the scenic Highway One.
