I feel like death this morning.... I don't think I slept more than 4 hours.... must have been the alcohol. I decided to visit the Pinnacles National Park which is slightly south east of Monterey, so I had a little travelling to do, but no matter. I was annoyed when setting out cos the Tourist Info office was not open until 10am, and then the 17-mile scenic coastal drive was closed for a race... bloody runners should still be relaxing in bed on a Sunday like norm...

I set off fairly early after a coffee in the breakfast room. I had to get 'gas' for the car as there was just under quarter of a tank left. I tried to add petrol but nothing was coming out of the nozzel. I had to lock everything up to go into the petrol station to ask the cashier what I was doing wrong. Funny enough you have to pay first, which is odd since I was not sure how much I would need to fill up. It was $28 in fact and its full now.Heading north the road...

So yet another flight delayed by Qantas... why am I not surprised. Instead of leaving at 19.40, it was probably nearer 21.30 by the time we took off. Its a 21 hour time difference between Auckland & LA - quite amazing really. The flight time is 11 hours so I really only had to put my watch forward by 3 hours & change the date.
