Koh Phangan, an island not far north of Koh Samui was our next stop. We stayed in Had Salad on the North of the island. Apologies for lack of updates - been really lazy! It seemed to take AGES to get from Krabi to Koh Samui! We arrived in Koh Phi Phi Don after a two hour ferry journey from Phuket. The place is sunny and much prettier than seedy Phuket. The first day we went to the beach, a five minute walk from where we are staying. We took a day trip out on a long boat. We saw all the monkeys before snorkelling around Phi Phi Lay. We left Bangkok and had an 11 hour eventful journey to Phuket. The bus, filled with mossies and cockroaches stopped in a town called Surat thani where the scams commenced. Although we had already purchased a ticket to Phuket town , a salesman was trying to make us pay extra to be taken directly to our destination.
