We spent Monday around the New Zealand Outposts at the north western part of the battlefield, past the Commemorative Site and fairly close to North Beach. We had three full days in the field from Thursday to Saturday. We surveyed a fairly large area to the south of Lone Pine and along a place called Holly Ridge, which was part of the Allied Front Line. We spent all of Monday and Tuesday fossicking around a couple of spurs that head south from the Lone Pine Plateau. One, Snipers Ridge, which then turns into the Knife Edge was the Turkish front line facing the Allies who were on Silt Spur, which we surveyed last year.
