So back to Bangkok! We arrived back to the same hotel that we were in the previous weekend, starving hungrey but unfortunately breakfast wasn't included and Candy and I's money was running short. We had just about enough for a taxi to the British Embassy, so we had to have a make shift breakfast from the snacks that we had.
We finally got to the embassy and asked for the package that contained my cards in. Unfortunately the email that I had sent to the commisioner requesting and giving my permission for them to be kept in the security booth wasn't actually received.
After a bit of begging and a few shed tears a lovely woman security guard came out and I gave her the contacts details that I had. Luckily she was on a training day and came out. Explained that she hadn't received my email although she was waiting for it. So we waited a little while and after about 10minutes I finally had my cash card back : D All I had to do now was wait for my mum to wake up so that I could get my pin number. It was such a good feeling to have the card in my hands though.
The rest of the day was spent in self indulgence my both me and Candy. We went to one of the big shopping malls, got ourselves lunch and desert! I also bought a lonely planet for Malaysia. Then we discovered that there was a La Senza there and as Candy needed a new bra we checked it out! It's completely different from the Uk ones and I had a good look to see if there was anything from Aura but with no success. But it was interesting to see the difference. And I have a very cheesy photo of me outside it.
After this we had an adventurous taxi journey back to the Ko San road where our taxi driver took us to the completely the wrong place with the meter running! It took us over an hour longer than it should have done so we were both really unimpressed. So whenit came to paying him we didn't given him the money for the extra hour that he wasted of our time. Needless to say he wasn't impressed with this. So compensate we had some more self indulgence. First stop was to a stall that sold some really pretty dresses! So we both bought one for Simon and Jo's wedding! I am now all set for the big day all I need to do is ask mum to sort our the relevent accessories : )
In the eveing we met the four new people that were joining our tour, went out for some food and then our tour guide took us to the light festival / fair ground thing after which was pretty pants. After this (about 11pm) we all went back for a quick costume change and went to celebrate Halloween!
Unfortunately we all managed to get seperated and pretty much had two different nights out between us! It was alot of fun though, really busy and even though there was alot of people dressed up it didn't feel like Halloween. Although I still can't believe its now November! It's too warm. It's finally hitting me that I am missing Christmas and all of the festivities that go along with it : (
Anyway enough of that and onto my final day in Bangkok. I took it easy in the moring and let Candy go off to the Grand Palace whilst I stayed in bed : ) After this we went for a wander, went on the internet, and grabbed some lunch. After lunch we all treated ourselves to a special foot treatment. Where lots of fishes come up and eat the dead skin from your feet. At first this was so ticklish it was hard to bear having them in the water. But after a little while I managed to get used to it and really enjoyed the experience.
We then made our way back to the hotel for another sleeper train, this time to Surat Thani where we then got a bus to Ko Sok.
