Woke up to another misty morning, with a rather low 19 degrees outside. Had a great last breakfast, got the bill sorted out, confirmed a late check out (the hotel has very kindly extended our check out time to 18:00, which is VERY unusual). Last night, we saw the forcast for today and it said 19 degrees with some rain showers. However, this morning, we woke up into a cloudy Beijing sky, but no rain. WOW, what a day! Checked out from SOfitel Royal Lagoon in Dongguan, and they even managed to screw up our chek out, since they called us a cab that could not carry our two suitcases to the airport, so they ended up sending us to the airport with the hotel's car at half the price they originally wanted. Ha ha! :) They told us that since May 2nd is a national holiday, the drive to the airport ought to take apx. 2 hours with traffic, but it only took 45 minutes, so ...

Woke up to a beautiful morning and had a nice breakfast. Felt full after it so went back to bed. Hey, today's labour day, afterall. :) 23:30 update: so we ended up chilling in the pool with cool tropical rain pouring from time to time. Got a free dinner and some drinks and took a walk to hear the barking frogs. Yeah, barking. :) Tomorrow we're off to Beijing by an hour taxi and a three hour flight. Bye bye, Dongguan! :)
