Ninth day up really early to catch the ferry to the south island, which took about 3hrs. Too lazy and hung over to look for dolphins and whales we all just went to sleep. In to Picton and straight to Nelson. We hung out in the hostels bar for the evening which had a really local feel about it and had Bulmers with a lovely roast diner while a jazz band played. This bus trip was our driver last trip so most of the northern island crew stayed with him all the way.
