Hello,

We are sitting in the lobby of our latest hostel waiting for a bus to get us to a coach that we will be on for the next 23 hours all the way to Foz do Iguazu! Copocabana has been as good as you would expect, sun sea and beautiful people.

Unfortunately it has been raining since yesterday so we were in our apartment for most of the day. There was a mix up at the hostel we were meant to be staying in (they had over booked) but they organised us an apartment in a block just down the road which was much nicer than a hostel!

Much to alex´s disappointment her tan progression has been stunted by the last two days of rain however the thunder storm was hilarious when we got caught up in it - me in only my bikini and a sarong - but mainly because it brought down the temperature from 35 degrees to a nice 26! It´s so weird that from one second everyone in the street is in sunglasses and bikinis and next they´re whipping out their umbrellas.

Just two blocks off Copocobana we are in a good location for everything and you get to feel the real rio spirit - very laid back, lots of coconuts and lots of nudity. I was expecting all the women to be into their looks - but I was very wrong. The male is the peacock of the species over here and let me say ladies it has been a wonderful joy to sit on the beach for several hours passing the time watching the men! However wherever you look there are nearly as many thong bikinis - on EVERY shape body - as there are to little speedos! But I still definately recommended Rio for a girly holiday destination.

Next stop is for a nature hot spot - the falls , where we will add some more pics and maybe some videos (if we can work it out).
