In case we haven't mentioned it before, we're in Waiheke Island and timed our trip to coincide with Sarah (who Julie used to work with) and Martin's wedding. They moved to New Zealand several years ago and since many of their guests are travelling across the planet, they've put on a whole long weekend of activities.
Today, we have beach rounders / cricket at 2pm followed by nibbles and drinks at Charley Farleys.
We checked out of our hostel and straight into the Onetangi Beach Apartments. Our room was unused last night so we could check in early and then spent a few hours in the spa tub. Hottest. Spa. Ever. It must have been unused the day before and the heat just built up and up with the cover on.
Rounders on the beach was fun, with Julie's speed turning any decent hit into a score. When the sport switched to cricket, the girls stopped playing and Dean managed to pop his shoulder out and back into its socket with his only decent hit of the day. So unlike him to be injured!
After yet another trip to Charley Farleys, we went back to the jacuzzi to find it too cold - someone had turned off the heater, presumably to cool it down!
Back to Charley Farleys for more drinks (hence all the Facebook check-ins) before retiring to bed for the tomorrow's wedding.

Mom-Shirl Only just seen this one for some reason! How's your shoulder now? Isn't it a bit too warm to be playing rounders and cricket?? xxx
