We boarded a pretty early flight in Hilo for the 30-minute flight to Kahului airport on Maui for the relaxing leg of our trip. Naturally, we were disappointed to see the same rain we'd left behind on Big Island waiting for us on Maui 

We hired another car - a funky Chrysler Cruiser in electric blue that really stood out from the typical pick-up / jeeps we saw on the road. We are staying at the Outrigger Aina Nalu - by far the nicest hotel of our trip. We had a one bedroom apartment with a comfortable lounge, a well equipped kitchen and even a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom!

We explored Lahaina underneath our courtesy umbrellas and had a decent meal at Lahaina Pizza before moving on to busiest nightspot, Moose McGillyCuddies. It was particularly busy tonight as it was dollar night - pay $5 to get in and then drinks are between $1 and $3. Dean certainly got value for money, but may come to regret it at tomorrow's welcome meeting at 8:30...
