Cairo again - 9 April Day 12 Both Susie and I woke up quite tired with all the late nights and early starts catching up with us. Susie had been in a lot of pain the previous evening with her first night sleeping on her bruises after the 'donkey incident'! We went down to meet the group and to find out if it was safe to go to the museum which was a block from Tahir Square ... since Friday we'd seen a lot of scenes on tv of the protests in Cairo ... mostly...

Myself and Susie arrived safely almost 24 hours after leaving Brisbane, with short stop overs in Singapore and Dubai (didn't bump into Stevie Wonder or anyone else famous this time :-( ). We had no problems getting our Egypt visa on arrival (once we knew where to queue) and slipped through immigration and customs without a hitch. We certainly stood out, me blonde and Susie currently a strawberry blonde. Most women wear head coverings and some full burkas...
