Well we've traded Marseille for Nice. This is definitely our kind of city. The photograph is from our balcony on rue Paradis just up from Promenade Des Anglais. We arrived mid-afternoon to beautiful sunshine. Heading down to the waterfront we were exposed to a classic pebbly French beach with a very small sandy section for those people who are too soft. We took a ride in one of those petit trains that do tours and were truly amazed to heat of the cities origin and later history. It always amazes us when we hear of somewhere that can trace its roots for more than 4000 years. We are heading out to explore Monaco tomorrow and will be ending our day I am most assured with several tasty bevs by the ocean. Our host while we are in Nice is a young guy who has the most spectacular B&B. The place is called Le Dortoir, check it out and if you are planning a stay in Nice we cannot recommend it highly enough.
