What a long night. The flight was full so no chance of spreading out. Started off with a baby somewhere up front squawking for half an hour, then an older couple who were reading something that looked like Russian kept their reading lights on and promptly went to sleep. The chap behind Pete objected to him reclining his seat and the one in front of Catherine, well he was either dreaming or having a fit. Of course the steward was a fat bald gay guy with such a sweet smile. Not a wink of sleep again. Arrived in Melbourne 7am and it was bright and sunny. Couldn't find the bus to get us to town, he did eventually show up and was morbidly obese - but very cheery. We got to the hotel and the reception looked very dodgy and the room was not ready for 6 hrs. So feeling very unwashed we went in search of breakfast. All is well now- the room is clean bright and comfortable we have all showered and changed our clothes we get an extra hour tonight as the clocks go back for "winter time". Really strange here as the trees are just turning and leaves are beginning to fall its 23 degrees and they call it autumn!
