Quite a day really. We woke up early to another cloudless sky and decided to have our breakfast at the airport. I went down to the lobby with Pete early to try and access the Internet when the minibus came to take us to the airport. Catherine was still drying her hair but appeared at that moment. We arrived at the airport at 9.10am and went to check the departures, to our horror we discovered they had brought the flight forward by 3 hours and it was leaving at 9.40am.
We found the customer service desk and the ladies were very good and issued us with express passes to get through security - then it was a sprint to find the gate. Nearly last on the plane and 2nd to back row. A good flight and landed in Bangkok at 4.30pm local time.
We were met at the gate and transported to our hotel. So glad we are not driving here, it's every man for himself, lane discipline is non existent indicators never used and the motorway was 7 lanes each way!! Then we passed a guy on a push bike wearing shorts and flip flops. He was brave.
Not eating out tonight but ate on the rooftop restaurant 25 floors up. 8.00am pickup in the morning for a city and temples tour.
