Well here we are in Sydney. A very seamless transfer. We have found a chain of food shops in australia called Pie face. I know it is the nickname given to Pete by Catherine and her friends. Anyway they sell pies strangely enough also this yummy raisin toast, so when we have an early start we have been buying raisin toast for breakfast and making a brew in the room, saving us at least 20 dollars a head. So in Brisbane. We stocked up with the raisin bread and had breakfast in our room, got picked up by taxi and taken to the airport and before we knew it we were landing in Sydney.
Big contrast to all the other places we have visited. This is like London it's so busy, and certainly not as litter free. There are a lot more old buildings but lots of glass skyscrapers.
We checked into the hotel then found a free bus across town and found the Opera House and the Bridge.
I now have lots of pictures the same as everyone else who visits these parts. We took a harbour cruise which was good then went to look a little closer at the opera house. They are doing a bit of refurbishment on it so there is a lot of construction workers and traffic around. We went for the free bus back but discovered it stopped at 3.30pm so we walked.
As we got close to our hotel Pete noticed a place that had wine on offer for happy hour - well it would be rude not to wouldn't it. We ended up eating there as well. The cheapest meal we have had and it was really good. Discovering we were on the edge of China town we went for a walk around there so Pete could find an ice cream. Job done and we are worn out so an early night is on the cards because we are being picked up at 7.45am tomorrow for a tour to the blue mountains.
I apologise to Mick Dundee for the lack of extra photos but the site is playing up and won't let me add extra pictures. Don't worry folks I have plenty to send you to sleep when I return.
