Lucy's Globe-trot!
well we didn't plan rome very well, it was a tad expensive for us and there was no availability in any of the hostels close to town so a bit of a fleeting visit all in all. Spent a couple of nights there in a hostel near the train station (Hostel Eden) really nice place and our first shared dorm experience which was fine really, just weird sleeping with so many strangers in one space and a bit hot. Spent most of our time trekking around for accommodation but had a free night cooking communal pasta in the hostel kitchen, drinking the owners red wine and chatting to a couple of girls from Amsterdam!! Decided to come to Florence and see a bit of art, we have now learned to pre-book for the best rates and went as cheap as we could so are staying in a place called "Plus camping Michelangelo" in the Tuscan hills, 10 mins walk from the city. It is crazy, you have a swelteringly hot two man tent with two beds in and that's it (not quite proper camping really). We have spent a lot of our time there being rather drunk and being told off by a power tripping security blokey. Every night without fail, he comes round on his little moped and shouts "shut up, no talking - sleep now or check out"
Looking at having a jaunt over to Pisa for some beach-time as Lucy and I have just love to burn and peel... do we ever bloody learn?!
