So, slightly drunk last night I didn't turn the switch on my alarm for 7am so I had a guy come into the room to wake me up and everyone in the dorm to go on a tuk tuk to the elephant sanctuary I was going to. Had breakfast and then hit the road was joined by 2 Spanish guys and when we got there there was a couple from Germany who had been volunteering there and were coming with us also. Really far out the way from main city centre so very rural. Our main guy called Limbo would get us sorting bananas into bags for the elephants to eat when we would get there. A bit of a trek to the main place we would meet them which was cool in the jungle and then 3 MASSIVE beasts came from the middle of nowhere to meet us! At first, we all s*** ourselves at the size of them and the way they came straight for you to get fed. Took some getting used to not gonna lie I was running away at times cause it was like they were running into you to stampede into you! Ate all our bananas and then we left them to get some lunch cooked by the locals. Nice food and had a Chang as well and then we went back into the jungle to go swimming with them, really cool washing them and the pictures looked awesome of us all playing with them! They were really happy elephants chuffed I chose this one to go to. After this we went to a cool waterfall and swam with the local kids who loved jumping on our shoulders and flipping off. A fair bit of walking which was cool the Spanish guys didn't talk a lot of English so mainly with the German couple but still was an amazing experience when done! Went back to the hostel and was shattered. Soon realised it was the 30th today and supposed to be on a f***ing flight to Bangkok to meet Guus which no doubt he will be s***ty about but got so tied up in getting to Chiang Mai completely thought it was tomorrow I would be flying. Explained to Guus and wasn't in the mood for an argument which it could of been so just said I would be there tomorrow instead can't be dealing with s*** when travelling not here for that. Chilled at the hostel and face timed Jessie for nearly 2 hours which was good, probably going to head to Holland before I head home to see her for a few days. Spoke to Rhi who was recovering from full moon not sure when I will see her before Indonesia this week but sure things will work out. All ready now to leave Chiang Mai and head back to Bangkok
