From there it was pretty much getting into Melbourne. We had to stay in a caravan park for the first time...but on the plus side there was a free sausage sizzle, and free Easter eggs given out!!! So it wasn't a bad experience...plus showering 3 days in a row in a real shower will always be appreciated!!! From here we had our first taste of Melbourne, we headed in to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) to watch an Aussie Rules game...which was a great experience...we still aren't sure of the rules but it was a very good game with 76,000 in the place! We had been given a few tips on the lingo, so we were sounding like we knew what we were doing when we shouted BALL just after a tackle (thanks Pat!!) We also checked out Flinders Street Station, Federation Square and got our fill of Asian food in Chinatown!!! We also had our first drinks in a pub....10 dollars for a pint, yup that's 8 euro...luckily it was 'Madness Monday' so it was half price!!! Was nice to be in a pub for a change, rather than our usual can of beer/bottle of cider/cup of goon at the back of the campervan!

Our next day was spent checking out St.Kilda, it was a windy day so the kite surfers were out in force! Wasn't so great for walking around, but luckily we had an excuse to head to the pub to catch up with Lee from home.
