Left the hostel in Fox town on the 28th and took a nice 1.5 hour loop trip past Mt Cook reflection point. We then headed off to the Franz Josef Glacier where we did another walk up to the Glacier point. Back to Fox Glacier, Ellie and I walked up to the furthest glacier point as she had not seen it the day before. Set off for Haast and got there early evening. It was such a quiet little place..only 309 people! Fri 29th - Haast to Wanaka Set off early from Haast and had such a nice scenic route to Wanaka. Passing Lake Hawea and Lake Wanaka to the recommended Purple Cow Hostel which has amazing views over the lake. Spent the rest of the afternoon wondering around the cute little ski town!
