Back at Jean's to sort out some final arrangements, meet up with friends and family and have a jolly god time. We had our US visa appointment on 12th and with much preparation we were pleased to get our visas for next year. We also made an expensive visit to a travel clinic where we had jabs and pills ready for the next leg. Back at Tam's having now handed back the hire car. We enjoyed a game of golf at Katoomba on Friday but at the 8th it became very dark, and then even darker until the rain came down in sheets. 20mm fell in a few minutes and we were thoroughly drookit (drenched) amid thunder and lightning - pretty scary! We headed home absolutely wringing. It has been raining pretty continually for two or three weeks now (very much needed) and the golf bags etc and Tam's car seats...

M was delivered safely to the hotel at Sydney airport - when E heard a knock at his bedroom door at 11:30 he thought his luck was in!! Oh well - it might still be!!!! We're now in Yass heading for a very swift visit to the Snowy Mountains and Canberra. More, much more, later. E+M xx
