Back at Tam's before handing over Annie tomorrow. Hope it all goes well.
Getting our things moved to the house was a little like moving out of Dee Cottage - amazing how much stuff we have accumulated!! Hope all goes well tomorrow.
We had a really good few days at Jean's apart from some stormy weather. Sunday, we went back down to Pittwater to allow Hamish a chance for a swim - and he took to it after 9 months like a duck/dog to water. On Saturday we fought the weather and went to the pictures in the evening to see Death at a Funeral (extremely funny and just what was needed).
Tuesday (6th) was quite a sad but momentous day - we took Annie to Bathurst where we handed her over (for a substantial cash sum) to her new owners, Bob & Sue. They seem a really nice couple who will be taking her to some of her old haunts - Tasmania, Darwin, Western Australia, etc. Look out for her and give her a wave - her new registration number will be BOB 669. It is strange yet again to be without a 'home'. A big thanks to Tam who drove over to pick us up on the day and at the time of the world famous Melbourne Cup horse race. M celebrated as she picked the winner!! Betting/bingo seem to run successfully in the McPhilips' family. But we can also report that we have at last won the Australian National Lottery - $1503 by jove!!
Weather has been awful but we managed a round (11 holes) of golf at Katoomba with Tam. Kept relatively dry and just about warm until the end. All in all very enjotable and nice to get out.
