Day 4 of our Trekking is supposed to be the heaviest. Checking our map we see that the expected walking time is one of around 8 hours, carrying our backpacks all along. Today we are slightly more efficient and manage to leave the camp around 10h00. Much against everyone's advice - as Valle del Francés would not really be worth visiting if the weather is completely overcast (which it is) - we still decide to hike our way up to the top. Weren't we told that the weather in Patagonia can change drastically in less than half an hour? Yes we were! We definitely took the right decision as we have a nice and clear view over the valle...

Not a very good night so we stay in the tent a bit longer and go for a paid coffee in the Refugio after first walking up to the viewpoint of Glaciar Grey. While enjoying our hot coffee, it starts to pour down with rain and both Zsuzsa and I consider it best to wait a little bit longer - even if we are quite late to start today's trek already. In the end we only leave the camp around 11h30, but at least the weather has improved slightly and we can walk a bit faste...

Omar got up early to ensure I have a last good breakfast at his place before I leave for my trekking.
