Hello again to the three people out there reading my drivel. Where to start, well the water pump pixies appear to have stopped my water pump from leaking. I can only assume they have done this so it can start leaking again at an even more inopportune moment. Probably half way up a piste in Morocco whilst being charged by an angry camel! Who knows but at the moment it seems to be fine again. I've ordered a replacement kit which will hopefully be here by Friday so I can take it with me. It's a fiddly awkward job so we may as well do it after the camels have trampled us somewhere in deepest, darkest and dustiest Maroc. I loaded most of my stuff into my panniers and popped Darren's spare tyres on to see how things felt and I can safely say I shall be avoiding dodgy looking bridges and muddy holes as I know I'm just going to sink or crash through to certain doom. Still, it is surprisingly well balanced considering I did literally throw my stuff in there so all good. Fuel consumption seems a little higher than normal but then the bike probably thinks it's joined the circus and is now carrying a herd of clowns around on it. I thought I was travelling light but not that light after all. It's all good though. We both went out for a bit of gentle off roading today to get used to standing up on the pegs and to be honest it's a doddle. We make it look so easy......... on the tarmac. Put us both on a bit of a muddy track and it's pure comedy all the way. Arms and legs flailing everywhere and the bikes just seem to go wherever they want. Mine is so damned heavy that if it decides it's crashing through a hedge I'm not going to try to stop it! At least Darren will be easier to find in the bushes on his bright orange machine. We are getting there though. We've even looked at a map and everything. This could all be classed as being very grown up which for us makes a change although I'm sure it won't last. Well, it's back to waiting for the post person to bring my log book soon and then we'll be off. Take care and pop back soon :-)
