Had a leisurely drive down through France today. Leisurely in that my truck isn't always a willing partner when it comes to going up hills. Still, the phone hasn't rang and I've been left to my own devices. Stopping often for coffee stops is the future as far as I'm concerned :-) Parked up in the shadow of Mont Blanc which is nice. Being in the shadow of a mountain means it's dark now so I shall have to gaze at it's snowy peak in the morning if the cloud allows. ...

Just to finish my trip to Morocco: I made it back. Went home via that place with the big bridge......... Yay finished.

Ok. Day one. We set off nice and early. Always good to leave early and get a few miles done to really get into the swing of things. After 20 swing getting into miles we stopped at Gueret to see if the KTM shop had the bearings Sparky Pants needs to keep his back wheel on. No was the answer so off to the KTM shop in Limoges where the very helpful chap didn't have the right parts either. Never mind, a few quick calls later and the KTM shop in Malaga will be orderin...

Apparently it's not big and it's not clever......... but it is a water pump kit for a BMW 650........ and it's now fitted. I have to say it was an absolute nightmare to fit so much easier than I thought it was going to be! Why oh why BMW! Anyway, at this moment in time the beast/bike/thingy is sat outside groaning under the weight of all my stuff. It'll be groaning even more tomorrow when this old fat bloke gets on it and sets of on an adventure. Good times ahead...

I'd just like to say that I don't know why life is like this but I'm sure it would be very dull if it wasn't. Today's image is of Sparky "Rotund James May" Pants putting his air filter back together. He cleaned all the spare oil out and popped the filter back in. All easy stuff really apart from having a spare bolt left afterwards and missing a hooky type thingymum whatsit doodah that holds the air filter in. Luckily a cable tie sorted it!
