Sara's Journey
Hello again everyone!
Sorry its been a while but we have just arrived in Saigon after another 9 hour bus journey so its been a little hectic the last few days as to be honest i think i am partyed out after Nha Trang!
There wasnt really much to do there apart from drink in the evenings (which became a regular occurance!) and lay on the beach all day-oh what a life!
Our hotel was literally right on the beach so after getting up around midday (after a 4 am entry to bed!) we would have a leisurley breakfast/lunch and make our way down to the beach! The beach was quite nice but the sea was actually really dirty and various 'objects' would float past quite often!
I tried to get up for the diving but after waking at 6.30 am after only having a few hours sleep, i decided i didnt have the energy to go on 3 dives in one day so went back to bed, useless i know! Jenny and Holly still went but said there wasnt really that much to see so i dont feel like i really missed out on that much.
While they were diving, i went to a spa with the Welsh lads we meet a few weeks ago and some boys from London. it was actually quite a funny day as the 'spa experience' started with a mud bath which you had to cover yourself in before sitting in the sun to 'bake' while the mud worked its 'wonders'? It was meant to cleanse your skin and detoxify but to be honest after sitting in the sun caked in mud i felt stiff as a board, he he! We then had a mineral water bath and a hydothereapy jet shower before entering a 38 degree swimming pool! Although it sounds mad, it was actually really nice, rather like a large bath, mmmm!
I also saw the sun rise on the beach one morning which was amazing, i took some good photos so will try and upload them asap for you all. The sea was so calm, it was really surreal swimming in the sea at 5.30 am! The beach was packed with locals doing various crazy exercises and sports, the only reason i was up was because i hadnt yet gone to bed from the night before!
All in all Nha Trang has been like a mini holiday in Ibiza, i had a really good time but was glad to leave as i really need a rest after all that partying!
Jenny had her wallet stolen which was a problem as it had all her cards etc in but we are trying to sort it out asap so she can get some money.
We are now in Saigon and plan to have a drink free few days and visit the local sights etc before going over to Cambodia on Friday.
I will let you know about our antics in Saigon in a few days when we have actually visited something!
Take care,
Love from a very tired and partyed out Sara!
