I woke up knowing that it was time for some thrilling experience of climbing the harbour bridge! Firstly we went to manly island by ferry which was rough and the boat was rocking harshly in the sea. The view was nice, even if it was raining a bit. After our arrival on manly island, the sun shone a little so we nosed around shops which was different with souvenirs on display such as kangaroo balls and paws which I disagreed greatly. We went down to the beach but then the rain decided to make an appearance again! We had pictures taken on the beach with our rainbow coloured umbrella on display, a unusual picture to have! :-) our time slot for the climb was 1.45 so we caught the 12.45 ferry back to the main island of Sydney. Once we got on the ferry, I was happy to learn that there were free wifi available on the journey. We arrived in the harbour bridge climb centre and revealed that we booked for an auslan interpreter but the staff seemed to panic and we were told that they didn't book one but that one was on the way. We accepted gladly as long there was auslan interpreter on their way. We got put with a lovely guy who was called andy and we all communicated quite easily with lip-reading method and went through the preparation such as putting overalls on and teaching us how to use the safety chain when we climbed the bridge. After a hour delay, auslan interpreter arrived with one of her hand broken! I thought it was quite weird as I thought she would need two hands to do her job but she did her job brilliantly and apologised about her hand being broken after a game of soccer, we call it football back home but Australians call it soccer. The bridge climb was one of my best moments in my life, I can't describe what it was like, I saw all these beautiful views especially looking down to opera house and memorising the sunset whilst we were going down after completing our climb. We bought a USB full of photos taken on the climb experience which cost 100 dollars however we all agreed to split it by 5 making it 20 dollars each = bargain! The lads went to the rugby match, wallaby vs south Africa. Me and Charlene didn't want to go as it would cost 60 dollars each which I didn't think was worth it seeing I am not a sporty girl and I don't even know the rules! We went to hard rock cafe after seeing a girl wearing the hoodie with the name on it. I enjoyed my meal with the view of the harbour, I treated myself to a hint of shopping where I bought a gorgeous grey cropped trousers and a top costing only 30 dollars altogether! well....a girl gotta treat herself once in a while! ;-)
