Bondi beach awaits us! We got the subway from kings cross to the Bondi junction station then got the bus directly to Bondi beach, along the way I saw Bondi beach style such as graffiti on walls and Australian hat with converse trainers! The attitude in Australia is so different compared to England because it is more relaxed approach whereas people in England just push in and get stressed with time etc. They even walk a bit slower I think haha. Once we arrived at Bondi beach it was pouring down but we didn't let it affect us because there was a famous beach in front of our eyes! The sand was golden with a hint of white sand, we walked along the pier and saw a outdoor pool nicknamed iceberg pool because the water in the pool was filled with the ocean's water freezing temperature! We all daren't go in with our hair being wet from the rain and I could feel my converse trainers soaking up water a bit. Definitely going to hang them up and dry it before the next trip! I wrote several messages on the beach such as Sara was here at Bondi beach 22/07/2011. Ashley teased Charlene by writing names of boys she could go out with! It was fun making a mockery out of her, she just pokes at us with her weapon which was a umbrella! We all have renamed her Charlene Single as her surname, not Charlene spires! :-P we browsed around the town of Bondi beach and I saw a lovely black raincoat with the slogan saying "between the flags, Australia" so I bought it seeing I need a proper raincoat and Asher asked me' whether he could have my old raincoat as he didn't bring one! Men eh!? Three hours at chilly Bondi beach, we had enough being cold, my nose was red! so we went back by bus straight to the circular quay to catch a ferry to manly island alas, we arrived there too late as it was around 4.30 by then so we decided it wasn't worth the short time left therefore we went back to the king cross area where our hostel is, we opted to cook dinner as trying to save money as the budget travellers, I volunteered to cook the dinner which was chicken curry so we went to Coles the main supermarket in Australia just like ASDA in England. It was only 3 dollars each divided by 5, what a bargain for dinner! After eating our lovely dinner, we decided to go to Westfield near our hostel for Charlene to buy trousers as she only bought one. Along the way of browsing shops, we saw a cupcake shop! :-D I bought vanilla with strawberry cupcake, Charlene bought chocolate cupcake. That was our night completed! :-)
