So OZ hey?!

I flew from Christchurch with Emirates and it was quite a fun flight, the french girl next to me was lovely so we chatted etc as girls do and watched a film and had a decent meal!!

I landed into Sydney and took the train to my hostel, checked in and went to meet Richard! A friend from school who I found out was in Syndey just before I boarded my flight! So random but pretty cool!

We met at my hostel and headed to a bar for a few beers. Fortunately Richard knew a place that sold $3 beers (a great find in Sydney!!) We had quite a few of those and I met two guys from Newcastle who Richard knew from his hostel. The beers kept flowing and before we knew it, it was late and my craving for pad thai hit!!

We left the bar and went into the city searching for thai!! Failed miserably and ended up eating a happy meal at McDonalds!! Shocking!

The next day I was slightly hungover but arranged to meet T-Bone for a catch up...a guy I travelled with in South America. He was also hungover!! I told him I was still craving pad thai so thankfully he knew a great place to get some! and some spring rolls oh and some chilli rice!! It was a pretty awesome feast!

For the remainder of the afternoon we walked round town, saw a few sights, he told me wombats walked around the streets which upset me when I found out he was lying! arse! haha

Then I headed back to the hostel to drop some things off and ended up going out to meet Richard again down near the shops! It was late afternoon and the weather was turning crappy so we opted to pop into scary canarys for a beer...and another...and another...and then some tea...and then some beer...and some more...and then some whisky...and another...and then a bucket....and another...and well I think I lost count until the bar guy made me drink a bucket of water!!! We just got hammered!! At the end of the night guess what?! I wanted pad thai!! so off we went!! Surely we couldn't fail again!! we walked through china town and asked loads of people if there was thai anywhere at god knows what time it was....and we failed and ended up in KFC!!! Shocking!! Any how it was awesome to catch up with Richard but I had to be up at 6am to get a bus so off we headed back to our hostels...

Sydney was a short stop for me, I've done all the sights before so decided to head off up the east coast...Next stop Byron Bay!
