We had the opportunity for a lay in this morning, with our first excursion starting at nine thirty. Personally I'd have skipped it. We took a drive up to Amalfi, on the coast, which was a beautiful town in a beautiful area. But with the overcast weather and the long trip, not to mention we only had an hour and a half to have lunch and explore, I don't really think it was worth the trouble. We arrived back around three, so we had plenty of time to explore Sorrento before dinner tonight. We had some gelato and took in the sites. I like it here. Not as much as Athens but it's nice.

Around six thirty Lorridana took us for a walk around Sorrento to see what there was to see. We had a very funny demonstration on cameos, these beautiful shell carvings. I really want to get one but we didn't get time to look around. Then we had a taste of limoncello, which doesn't taste any different to what I made, so there.
