Well it's back to the early morning wake up calls. Six o'clock our start this morning. But we didn't leave till eight and I had already packed so I had time for an extra lie in. Just had to make sure I didn't fall back asleep.
Along the trip to Pisa, Patricia explained all our optional excisions for the next week. There are a few things I'll give a miss but I'll do most of it.
We got to Pisa around one thirty and Daniel, Vic, another couple and I went out to lunch at a pizza place. They got my order wrong and by the time I got my order everyone else had finished. Thankfully they all waited for me but I almost gave myself an upset stomach trying to finish.
Of course I have my picture holding up the tower, I think it looks pretty awesome. We stayed for about two and a half hours, just looking around and admiring the place. There wasn't time to go up the tower, cause they only allow thirty people up every thirty minutes, but you know, it was all stairs and I wasn't all that keen to do it anyway. Pictures don't really do the lean on the tower justice. It really does lean a long way. It's also sunk down a few feet but that's because they removed some ground from under the stable side to even it out a bit
We got a gelato and sat on the grass in the shade for the last bit before rejoining the group for the trip to Florence.
We arrived at the hotel around six. It's a pretty small place but with more than a few mod cons. Its quite nice. The shower is pretty tiny though. Again.
Dinner was once again tasty but uninspiring. The waiter really freaked me out though. I have on a necklace with a lizard on it and he kept trying to tell me it was a bug. I thought I has a bug on my chest! Everyone else thought it was really funny.
Australians.
