Hey! Still in Brisbane and having an interesting time. We have met up with our friends from Surfers Paradise again so we have had a few good nights out with them. Though Wednesday night was a bit of a drunken affair and we somehow ended up singing Karaoke! I can never resist the spotlight after a few drinks!! Was a very drunken affair and It would be fair to say that I have had better days than yesterday. Therefore we found the perfect way to spend it - painting a Boomerang!! We were a bit worried at first but the guys who ran it showed us some Aboriginal designs that we could put on our Boomerangs and away we went! It was quite hard and there were a few tantrums by me as my school day art lessons came back to haunt me! I am not artistic by any stretch of the imagination but even if i do say so myself that after it was varnished it looked quite good - especially if you hold it at a distance and squint!! but its a cool souvenir. Today we went to a Koala Sanctuary which was amazing. There were hundreds of Koalas there and we even got to hold one! We have taken hundreds of photos and they are very cute. We also got to wander round with hundreds of Kangaroos and Wallabies and I even plucked up all my courage to feed one! I also bottle fed a goat which was fun but it was a greedy little b*****! We also saw a bird of prey show which was a bit scary given my fear of birds but all in all it was a wicked day. We are off to Hervey Bay tomorrow and then we are going to Fraser Island for a few days. We are doing a tour where you get a bit 4x4 and drive round in a group. We have to camp unfortunately but it is the biggest sand island in the world and is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous. xx
