So last night we had a pretty epic drive. We were so scared about hitting a kangaroo we decided to stop at the first rest stop when we got back on the Bruce Highway. But after a few miles we realised that by following the sat nav (for the first time) it was taking us the shorter route, rather than just heading back on the Bruce Highway like we normally do. This meant driving down this very creepy road for about 50 miles. There were hardly any other cars and it was only 7:30pm (also dark by this time), just a few trucks driving past. We also kept driving through some pretty heavy wooded areas, and to top it off even fog! Was something out of a horror film. Every time Chels said something about it being creepy I quickly replied with something reassuring. Little did she know I had sick in my mouth the whole journey, wasn't till we cleared some of the worst bits I told her how scared I was haha. At one point she even asked me to make sure I had my pen knife handy, I gripped onto it for dear life. Looking back now it's pretty funny as we were hardly in the outback and back on the Bruce, tucked up in bed in a rest stop before we knew it!
This morning we carried on making our way to Noose Head. Beautiful place. Main Street lined with cute little dress shops, cool bars and trees which at night are all lit up. The beach is one of the best so far too, gorgeous white sand. We had some lunch at a place right on the beach (great views) and did a bit of shopping. Also spent an hour on the beach and got my book out again. It's such a hard life hehehe!
Only 45 mins away from our next stop so we are heading there tonight.
