Well we were very sad to say bye to Byron Bay yesterday. Defiantly need to spend a few more days there sometime in the future.
Spent 10 hours on the road yesterday making our way south. Was a good drive, had plenty of stops and drove through some beautiful landscapes.
Stayed in a rest stop just an hour outside of Sydney and spent our final night in Paul. Sad times. Rained the whole night and woke up this morning to more rain. Not happy haha!
Got on the road for the last leg of the trip, and before we knew it we had arrived. Sydney baby!!!!
Beautiful grey skies and wet weather, so we headed to Bondi Beach for breakfast and then we took Paul back and said our goodbyes to him. We have grown so attached over the last 3 weeks. He's been a right babe, getting us the 3000km down south to our final stop safe and sound. We then got a taxi to the hostel, Railway Square YHA. It's amazing, love it!!!! Unpacked and hit to the streets of Sydney. One of our first stops was Tiffany&Co, where I picked up a gorgeous neckless for an early 25th birthday present from my amazing parents. It's going to be a very sentimental neckless :).
Then it was to Sydney Opera House to watch the sunset. After some photos we sat at Opera Bar and enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco. The view was out of this world and a real had to pinch myself moment. Just gorgeous views of the Opera House and Sydney Bridge lit up at night. I've seen so many photos of it, it was the first time this trip I couldn't believe I was seeing it with my own eyes. Was just incredible and will most likely be one of my favourite moments of this trip.
We then headed to Hyde Park where a night noodle market was going on, pretty cool. Back to the hostel and to bed, it's been a busy but amazing day. Feeling very content going to sleep tonight :D!!!
