So Byron Bay is bloody beaut. Arrived last night and went to town for one. Got good vibes from the get go. Headed back out again to a rest stop for the night, then drove back in in the morning.
Firstly we headed to the lighthouse, which happens to be the most easterly point of Australia. As you can imagine, stunning views. Masses of sea, was hoping to see some whales, but sadly no luck :(. Still pretty cool. Stopped at the cafe to enjoy an ice cream with a view. Mars bar ice cream - best ever ice cream!
Then it was back into town for some looking round the cute shops and some beach time. Was very windy though, so headed back to the hostel. Staying at Nomads Arts Factory Lodge, it's backpacker central set on a little river, very nice and chilled.
Managed to finished my book by the pool and then got ready to go out to dins. Can't have a mad one as we have one hell of a drive ahead of us tomorrow.
