Hello!

So Saturday night, I got ready and Megan and I met everyone at Chequers, which is a pub close to Jesus College. They have an outdoor terrace, so everyone was hanging out there. I'm not really sure why we chose to sit outside because it rained on and off the entire time...so we spent most of the time moving in and out from underneath the deck. It would rain hard for 3 minutes and then stop and then rain hard again for 4 minutes and stop. It was wonderful. We finally decided to go inside after all of us were tired of getting wet. We were standing by this game machine that had a bunch of games and two English guys came over to play a quiz type game. It was actually a lot of fun because we would help them with all of the American questions that they didn't know. We got quite a crowd around them, which was pretty funny. I was pretty tired and there was no where to sit in Chequers, so we all decided to go somewhere else when the pub closed. The boys had been to a place the night before and said it would be a good place to go, so we headed that way. The place was actually called Maxwell's, so I took a picture for Max. :) I thought the place would be a little more chill and ended up being more like a club, but there were tables to sit at, so I was happy about that! Megan and I had a lot of fun laughing while we people watched from our table. There were girls dancing by themselves and a lady and man that were in a screaming match. The lady was chasing the guy around and kept grabbing him and yelling at him...it was hilarious....she got kicked out. They played Love Generation and Destination Unknown...and again....I knew all the words and wanted to dance, but no one else got as excited as I did..haha. We hung out there for a while, got chips and cheese on the way home from the kabob stand, and then hung out in my room for a while before we all went to bed.

Sunday's are the best because we don't have anything to do. I slept until noon and ate lunch. After lunch, I hung out for a while and went to Boots to pick up a few things. At around 3-3:30pm, I went downstairs to the Junior Common Room to watch the USA vs. China basketball game. There were a ton of people watching it and it was cool because we got to watch it on the projector screen that they have. Some of the guys had bets going where they would win money if USA score MORE than 31 points. They were very unhappy when the US team just held the ball at the end and didn't shoot it since the score ended up being 101-70. It was so funny because they were all yelling...SHOOT THE BALL!!...They were so close to the money...haha. During the game, I tried looking over some of my notes because we have our finals on Thursday and Friday. I'm sure I didn't retain anything during that time because I was trying to watch the game, also. After the game, I went back to my room to attempt to study. I heard Megan and Steph walk by my window, so I yelled out at them to see what they were doing. They were going to the common room to study with some people, so I thought I would join them. I was only down there for 5 minutes, though, because I study better by myself...especially when I don't know the material that well. When I got back to my room, I typed up some of notes and took a shower. I went to dinner and it actually wasn't that bad. We had a really good dessert..this bread thing with cream...delicious! I was really full. After dinner, I went back to my room and typed up some more of my notes. I got distracted pretty easily and decided to call Jen to catch up. I talked to her for a while and then went to a nearby pub with Taylor, Jason, Megan, Megan, Steph, and Molly. We all needed a study break, so we went and had a beer. When I got back, I didn't really feel like looking over my notes...so we all hung out in Megan's room for a while. After that, Megan came back with me to my room and we got some snacks from the vending machine. After her laundry was done, she went back and I was going to go to bed. Well, for some reason, I didn't really want to sleep, so I was on facebook for a while and listened to music. When I laid down to go to bed, I still didn't feel like sleeping, so I called my mom and talked to her for a while. I finally got tired and went to bed.

I should have went to bed earlier because I am tired today! I got up and went to breakfast and now I am in between classes. We don't really have any cultural stuff this week, so I will probably try and study a little bit each afternoon. We only have classes today and tomorrow, so that will be nice. Wednesday is a free day for studying and Thursday and Friday, we have our finals. Anyways, there is an update on my life! I'll be home soon....sadly..but kind of exciting.
