On Monday we arrived at Rotorua not knowing quite what to expect only that there is thermal activity.
We parked near the centre and instead of going straight to the Info Centre we walked round a park. There were many fenced off areas each have a mud pool or steam release. There was a sulphurous smell which occurred throughout the town. The picture is one of these vents.
