From Cambodia we arrived in Bangkok, where we had a couple of days for some final souvenir shopping, chilling, visiting the very crazy, amusing and disgusting area of Patpong (very vulgar sex shows!) and...... Bec got her nose pierced!!!!!! Heheh! Very very painful but lookin good!! Next we headed to our first island, Ko Samui. It was very nice! The water was warm and crystal clear, the beach was clean and there were loads of beach bars to chill in in the evenings. Basically our time here was spent on the beach, getting pretty brown!! Bec's bros came out too and hired motorbikes so we spent a lot of time cruising around on them and even had a go driving them ourselves! So much fun!!! We'll definitely be hiring them ourselves at some point! We also went to the Full Moon Party on Ko Phangan, what a crazy night!!! Tonnes of people collect on the beach and in the bars drinking the lethal buckets (literally!) of rum or whisky with coke and red bull... but not red bull as we know it at home!! Its more pure, and has some added horrors in it too! We had a good time and there was a great atmosphere, but it had its scarey moments too! Next we came to Ko Tao, which we're really loving!! We could easily live here! Its much more natural, there are only about 2 roads!! But it still has a fun and lively atmosphere. We've been doing some diving! Sarah's doing a free diving course which is amazing!! You learn to swim down to 20 metres and hold your breath underwater for minutes at a time with no equipment! Such a buzz! Bec's doing the advanced scuba diving course, which has been pretty cool, and included a night dive!! Seen some awesome stuff too - a massive giant turtle, puffa fish, a huge poisonous sea snake, a nemo with 2 tiny baby nemos, and lots more! So all in all, having a great time and have met some really nice people so had some good nights out too! We're not sure when we're leaving yet, as our next stop has been hit by the monsoon... not exactly what you want on an exotic island!!!
